Stunning Zuleta Embroidery

Hand embroidery from the town of Zuleta is a complex and extravagant art that has been a form of ornamental expression for centuries. Before designs are woven by hand using cotton threads on garments or decorative items, they are first drawn with a pencil resulting from the artisan's imagination. An artisan needs from one to two months to embroider each item, depending on its size and choice of colors.
